Submission (#33) Approved

A long and harsh way to the top of the Snowpeak Mountain. Nyx has made it through some way, and there is still a lot left to go. She was packed with what she could carry. She wore a nice and warm hat and scarf to keep her protected from the stinging cold. A journey takes on to the skies and down beneath the icy earth surface. Nyx went through a cave, it is slippery and cold inside just because of the breeze from the opening. She has reached in front of something particular, but unsure of what it is. She examines the ice piece, it was frozen in a block of ice. It seems small, perhaps but her sight is too cloudy as the snow blows at her from the opening. She isn’t too far deep into the cave.

She reaches in her bag, looking for something to use. Then she looked at her waist, a pocket knife! She took that out and used it, chipping away the ice. Though that doesn’t work too well as it is taking forever to fully crack the ice. She tries throwing it at the cave walls, but to no avail. She tries banging on it with another ice block, no luck. Nyx tries thinking of some other ways. She has no way of creating a fire, as the sticks are too wet to use outside. The snowstorm rises up as she shivers in the sight. She wonders what else she can do to break the ice and reveal the hidden mystery inside.

She starts exploring the cave, looking at areas where she can use it to break the ice. There is a path full of sharp and ridged icicles. She was wondering if it would help break the ice but it's risky down there. It seems like a small tunnel, leading to the bottom of the cave. Maybe it isn’t a good idea to risk losing a chunk of ice. She decides to go another way and explore deeper into the cave. She looks at the ice chunk, it seems to be more clear, though she couldn’t figure out what it is. She arrives in a big hollow opening and she makes a noise. It echoes through the caves. She makes another noise, and it echoes once more. She giggles, hearing the echoes. She spends some time playing around and making noises, forgetting about the ice piece.

An hour passes by and she just realized she had wasted her time. She shook her worries off and grabbed the ice chunk. Maybe she’ll take it with her and look for a warmer place to melt the ice. She headed towards the exit of the cave, where the storm is much more steady now. It is still windy and cold, but not as much anymore. She glared at the outside view, looking at the frozen trees and the steep cliffs around. She wandered off to continue up the path to the top of the mountain. This mysterious ice block would remain with her for the rest of the trip.
