Submission (#47) Approved

After another few hours, Nyx has finally made it to the top of the Snowpeak Mountain. She sighed in relief as she laid on the snow, breathing heavily and feeling the cold snow on her back. She got up and looked at the view. She is on the tallest mountain peak, and she could see all the other smaller mountains below her. She felt happy that she achieved such a goal.

She stuck a flag up in the snow to showcase her accomplishment. The sun was shining brightly and it wasn't too cold outside. She played in the snow for a while. She started to pile up the snow. After a while, Nyx rolled it up to make a small snowball. She continued adding snow and watched it get bigger and bigger. She then made another snowball and rolled it up to make it as the head of the snowman. Then she stacked both snowballs together and the base was finished.

She gathered sticks and rocks to make the face and the arms. She used her hat and scarf for the snowman. Then she assembled everything together and the snowman was complete. It was a cute looking chibi snowman, and she was proud to have finished it. This took about an hour to finish, and it was all worth the time and effort. Then she made some snow angels around and wrote “Nyx was here” in the snow. She had so much fun playing around.

After she decided to dance around in the snow. She felt free from all the stress and tiredness from climbing the mountain. She imagined a world filled with sunlight and soft snow dawning on her. That was the time to enjoy herself and let her worries go.

She had accomplished what was known as one of the hardest journeys on land. She couldn’t wait to go back home and tell everyone her accomplishment and her journey up the snowpeak mountain. She thought back to the journey. Her favorite part was getting to pet the Fleep she met on the way to the top. Her scariest part was on the bridge that was about to snap. Her most comforting part was in the shelter she found. And this part, making it to the top, is her accomplishment. It would always stay in her memories forever.

She stayed for a couple more hours just relaxing in the sun. She thought about the celebration she would have with her friends and other Gorgis. Maybe there would be some sweets, as she’s craving for some sweets after days of climbing the mountain with only meat, berries, and snacks as a food source. She would love some nice juicy grapes, the color of her skin, though her skin is much lighter then actual grapes. Being home is her next destination.

After she was ready and all packed up, she took her hat and scarf from the snowman and started walking down the steps. Going down would be a lot easier than climbing up. She smiled as she slowly made her way down the mountain. Nyx knew that it would take another couple of days, but she doesn’t care about it. Along the way, she found some birds fluttering around. She’s glad that she has seen some more wildlife around then just the Fleep she saw earlier in the journey. It seems like it would be sunny out for a wild and there are no signs of any other storms coming. She explored around while still walking down, listening to the birds chirping and the snow crunching beneath her feet.

The harsh weather seemed to be over for now. She wanted to collect some berries to eat for energy on her way down. She collected some berries that were in the bushes. Some are bright red, some are black, and some are orange in color. She did find some blueberry and raspberry bushes around the trail. She wondered how come she never noticed it. Probably because she was so focused that she wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings. She picked the berries up for future use. She ate a few for energy and continued trotting down the mountain. After a few hours, she took a break and decided to have her lunch. Nyx made a fire and cooked some of her meat that she got from the den. After it was done, she ate the meat and then the rest of the berries. She was full by then. She was wondering if she could stop by the same den, gather more food and materials, then go down the mountain once more. Maybe she could check again to see what in stock there was. No one was home before, so hopefully she wasn’t invading someone’s home. Even so, she would just double check to make sure no one was home. The thought of her own home back made her smile and giggle.

She couldn’t wait to go back home and celebrate her victory.
